ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Flirty in Florals
My favorite thing to wear with voluminous floral skirts is a simple tee. Back in March, I went with brown, but today I topped my Carrie Bradshaw skirt off with simple white. The thick layer of tulle under the floral print make me feel über girlie and really keeps the skirt’s playful shape. Considering I was standing on a ledge, I decided not to lift up my skirt today. But you can get a better idea of what I’m talking about here. If your skirt doesn’t already come with stiff fabric, try layering a thin petticoat underneath to make it full and flirty.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Cat Prints and Cream
Last summer I showed how to wear this embroidered skirt 3 ways. I adapted one of the looks today by adding the animal print under the cardigan to spice things up. The cream color, combined with nudes and champagne really softens the leopard. A bright white would have given it a completely different feel.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Meet Marino
Meet Marino. He’s my new car. Inside, he’s a soft cognac leather, like a football, and outside he’s marine blue, like the water dolphins swim in. I know, not everyone names their car but I think it adds more personality. And I’m sure not everyone matches their car the day they pick it up. But I’m not everyone.
I turned a navy tunic (to match the exterior paint) into a dress by layering a lace skirt underneath and tying a lace ribbon as a belt. My buttery soft Bender bag matched the interior. To celebrate, one of my best friends made pizza from scratch. Today was a good day.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Helping Haiti
Random spot to take a photo, I know. But I had to deposit money into my checking account today so I could donate to the Art Creation Foundation for Children. An old friend of my mother’s started this charity back in 2000 to help children in Jacmel, Haiti with education and personal growth. Their building is one of the few structures still standing after the devastating earthquake so they’ve become a central aid point in Jacmel. You can donate online via their website, www.artforhaitianchildren.org or through their Facebook page. Or, send a check to Art Creation Foundation For Children, c/o Judy Hoffman, Profile Marketing Research, 4020 South 57 Ave #101, Lake Worth, Florida 33463. You’ll be touched by the updates of what the charity is doing to help during this time of crisis.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Golden Globes Suite-ing
This morning, I based my outfit on comfort—something I rarely do but I was exhausted and knew I’d be on my feet most of the day. After doing some work in the office, I stopped by a gifting suite at the House of Blues. It was incredibly crowded and I got incredibly hot, so I slipped off my purple tights in the car for my next stop: Kari Feinstein’s Style Lounge. After checking out the goodies, I stripped down even more to get an airbrush spray tan with Infinity Sun. It was a little awkward standing nude behind a screen while hearing voices below but I’m thrilled with the results. It looks like I just got back from vacay in Miami!

ThinkThruFashion Tip: Do not wear leather boots if you’re going to get a spray tan. I was sticky so sticky for the first 10 minutes that I couldn’t get my boots past my calves.
Michael Jackson wasn’t only one of the most talented singers and performers of our time. The King of Pop was a fashion icon. Women’s Wear Daily said it best when they wrote “it takes a certain kind of star to turn a single sequined glove into a cultural symbol.” These are only some of MJ’s influential style moments…
