ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Spring Rain
Today was a typical May Gray day. It was cold enough to wear tights and drizzling enough to wear rain boots. The blush lace top and white scarf made the hunter green more spring appropriate and you can never go wrong with a classic beige trench.

On a side note, I’ve taken Jessica Schroeder of What I Wore’s advice and am going to keep all my images on ThinkThruFashion the same size. How do you guys feel about this image size? Too big? Too small? Just right?

ttF Daily Fave: Clearly Cool Plastic Umbrellas

Clear Plastic Umbrellas

I clearly have a clear obsession. I don’t know why but I’ve recently liked just about every plastic fantastic item I see (except the shoulders at Maison Martin Margiela, now those were weird). My clear obsession du jour? PVC umbrellas. I wanted one when I saw Scarlett Johansson carrying hers around Tokyo in Lost in Translation—transparent umbrellas are huge in Japan. I forgot about it until recently when Lauren Conrad shielded her long blonde locks from the New York rain with a clear umbrella and Emma Watson used one to keep dry at the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in London. I did some digging around and there are a ton of options on the web: Rainkist Clear Bubble Umbrella ($16.99) has a cool dome shape, Totes Elements has Clear Bubble Umbrellas with colored trim ($16.99) and Kids Clear Bubble Umbrella for the little ones ($8.95) and ClippyKit Customizable Stick Umbrella ($32.95) features pockets for you to add your own pictures or artwork. After spending a year in London, I’m not exactly one who likes walking around in the rain. But these clear umbrellas might make the dreary weather at least a little bit more enjoyable.
