Thursday afternoon I’ll be attending Ports 1961’s show. Here’s a sneak peek:

**Update: I won’t be attending Ports 1961 anymore. My flight tomorrow was canceled so it looks like I’ll be missing the first day of fashion week. Sad.

Peach
If pink is too girlie for you peach is a fab alternative. It has the same soft feel without the saccharine cotton candy look. I plan on wearing peach with navy and denim in spring. I love that color combo.

Oxford Shoes
There was lace-up footwear for every type of woman on the spring runways. There were the flats that my vintage-loving partner at Forever21Report.com has been coveting and peep-toe pumps that I couldn’t take my eyes off.

Obi Belts
It seemed like every other collection had something Japanese inspired: kimono sleeves, Kabuki makeup and plenty of origami pleating. My favorite Asian influence were the thick sash belts that were used to cinch vests, jackets and dresses.

Hot pink is huge for spring so I’m happy to see that it’s carrying into fall. I suggest buying a seasonless magenta top now in silk or chiffon that can carry you through the year.
