ttF Faves: Nicole Richie in Paris

Nicole Richie in Paris

I think Nicole Richie needs to go to Paris more often. She always has great fashion but this week has been extra magnifique. She blended her bohemian California style with an effortless French feel.

I don’t know which I like better, the picture of her and Sparrow she posted on her website or the way she successfully combined the trendy side braid and spring’s lingerie look while launching Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 at Galleries Lafayette.

Fall 2009 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving… Glitz

glitzJust as I’m starting to get sequined out, Nina Ricci designer Olivier Theysken comes along scattering gold beads over my girl crush, Lily Donaldson. The sequined shoes were a little much, but that turtleneck gown was one of my favorite looks of Paris Fashion Week. It made me fall in love with sparkle, shimmer and shine all over again.

Fall 2009 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Tired Of… Harem Pants

haremI don’t care what the fashion world says, I will not—I repeat, will not-take style cues from MC Hammer! I even tried on three pairs of harem pants last weekend to give the baggy style a chance but I ended up laughing at myself in the dressing room.

I just can’t touch this trend.

Fall 2009 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving Geometric Prints

I wasn’t a fan of geometry in high school. Maybe if my teacher had worn some of these clothes while lecturing about shapes I would have been more interested.

Fall 2009 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Excited For… Voluminous Skirts

skritsFrom knee-length tulips and micro mini bubbles to floor-length bell shapes and mini lampshades the skirts at Paris Fashion Week all had one defining factor: voluminous hips. As much as I love my pencil skirts, I’m excited to flounce around in fall’s roomy shapes.
