Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith were my two favorite Charlie’s Angels. So, like most people. I was saddened to learn this morning that the blonde feathered-haired, blue-eyed beauty had passed away from cancer at 62. I took a moment to look back at her fabulous 70s fashion and realized that many of her looks mirror the clothing seen on the spring runways. So, I put together a little photo tribute to Farrah’s style:

Hoods are functional. My oversized hoodie keeps me comfortable while I’m blogging and my hooded raincoat shields my hair during rare L.A. showers. But hoods as a fashion statement? I’m sorry but I just don’t get it. Why would anyone want to look like a boxer or the Grim Reaper?

And what was with the hooded velvet Marc Jacobs Agyness Deyn wore to last night’s screening of Valentino: The Last Emperor?! Very strange.
