ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Office Hippie
I don’t consider myself to have a boho style. But this is one of my favorite skirts. I usually wear it with tees, either green or white. It also doubles as a strapless dress. It’s a little casual for the office but I was mostly doing pulls today so I wanted something comfy to wear while running around town.

Did you know that you can make t-shirts from plastic bottles? I learned about this mind-boggling concept when I was introduced to RevengeIs. Their women’s, men’s and kid’s tees are created from organic cotton and fiber made from plastic bottles. They use about 3-5 bottles per shirt and the result is soft, sustainable comfort. My favorite is the Women’s Earth Day t-shirt ($32). The screen printed tree and and cool colors fit right in with spring’s hippie chic trend. Because what’s more chic than going green?

“Nicole Richie is by far one of America’s biggest fashion icons right now. We’re investing millions into this brand. This is like nothing out there right now.” —president of Modern Vintage and Nicole Richie’s business partner, Rick Cytrynbaum, on House of Harlow 1960’s expansion into shoes, apparel, bags, sunglasses and belts.
I agree Nicole Richie is a fashion icon. The biggest right now? Not sure about that one. Plus, her bohemian glam style so closely resembles that of her former stylist, Rachel Zoe. Though I will admit, finding stylish, affordable vintage pieces is an arduous task. Nicole’s jewelry collection made hippie chic accessorizing a cinch. So even if her new designs aren’t revolutionary, I’m sure they’ll be a hit.
