Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving… Lace

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving… Lace

Lace
One of the wonderful things about lace is you can wear it whether you’re a rocker or a girlie-girl. I personally would do anything for Marchesa’s strapless-stunning!

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving… Denim Shorts

Denim Shorts
This summer I was all about my cutoffs. But for spring, I want to try a cuffed denim short, like the white ones at Monarchy or the distressed pair at William Rast. One look I will not be trying from the runway? Denim shorts over tights. I have never liked that look on anyone except models off duty.

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends: Hesitant About… Drop Crotch

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends Drop Crotch

Drop Crotch
I like to think of myself as an open person, willing to try new things. But you could never, ever find me in a pair of drop crotch pants. I was horrified when I saw this girl actually wearing them outside the tents-in tie dye no less! Why anyone would want to look like they have a saggy bum is beyond me.

Hoods
Seriously, why won’t this trend go away? Like I said for fall, I love wearing my hoodie when I’m blogging. But looking like a boxer is not my cup of tea.

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends: Tired Of… One-Sleeve

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends One-Sleeve

One-Sleeve
I go back and forth with this trend. Every once in a while, I’ll see a woman wearing a one-sleeve dress and like it. But for the majority of the time I find myself thinking how cold that bare arm must be.

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends: Hesitant About… Gray

Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Trends Gray

Gray
I’m still on the lookout for the perfect pale gray pump. I regret not buying those marble YSL ones at a Saks sale last year. But other than footwear and the occasional hosiery, I’m not a gray girl. It completely washes me out. But if you look good in gray, you’re in luck. Neutrals will be huge next spring, gray included. Just please skip the gray lipstick and drop-crotch pants.
