ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Exposed Zipper
Pencil skirts are one of my favorite silhouettes. But when you have a garment so fitted to your curves, it needs to have at least a little stretch. I forgot about this not so minor fact when I got my Aqua skirt taken in. Yes, it fits like a glove. But with not a drop of spandex, walking fast is a bit of a difficulty…and forget about lifting my leg. Thank goodness the elevator was working today. I don’t know what I would have done if I had to take the stairs.

Get the look…
At first, I was drawn to the feminine lace of Free People Flutter Fly Away Top ($78). But then I became more enamored when I saw the exposed front zipper. The trendy hardware provides an interesting contrast to the romantic sheer material and the angelic ruffles that drape across the shoulders in back.
Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith were my two favorite Charlie’s Angels. So, like most people. I was saddened to learn this morning that the blonde feathered-haired, blue-eyed beauty had passed away from cancer at 62. I took a moment to look back at her fabulous 70s fashion and realized that many of her looks mirror the clothing seen on the spring runways. So, I put together a little photo tribute to Farrah’s style:
