Bright Pink
Bright colors are exciting. But when you keep seeing hot pink season after season, you start getting bored. Now, if it was neon pink, that would be a completely different story. I’m obsessed with neon. But the Barbie color is too Legally Blonde for me to wear all the time.

Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith were my two favorite Charlie’s Angels. So, like most people. I was saddened to learn this morning that the blonde feathered-haired, blue-eyed beauty had passed away from cancer at 62. I took a moment to look back at her fabulous 70s fashion and realized that many of her looks mirror the clothing seen on the spring runways. So, I put together a little photo tribute to Farrah’s style:

I saw this Hanii Y strapless dress in Bergdorf Goodman during Fashion Week in 2007. When I tried it on, I felt just like Tinkerbell—except in navy tweed. I had to have so I splurged. Since it was more expensive than I usually spend, I wanted to get good use out of it. And boy, did I! Two years later and I’m still getting compliments. Here, I styled the dress six ways to show that with a little creativity, a little blue dress can go a long way.
1. Bebe belt, So Good Jewelry beads, Prada pumps
2. Juicy Couture long-sleeve ribbed shirt, vintage clip-on earring, DKNY tights, Robert Clergerie boots
3. Vintage belt, lia sophia bracelets, American Apparel tights, Manolo Blahnik gladiator sandals
4. D2k suede jacket, Skagen watch, DKNY tights, Hogan boots
5. So Good Jewelry necklace, Giuseppe Zanotti peep-toes
6. Forever 21 cardigan, ESQ watch, London Sole ballet flats

I was really hoping plaid would skip a season because I love tartan. But it just got too much last year, being displayed in every single store window from Wet Seal to Intermix. I hope it’s not plaid overkill this fall, too.
