Slashing
Edward Scissorhands was a fab movie but I would never let Johnny Depp’s character near my closet. And I wish designers didn’t invite him to their studios to slash everything in site.

Sheer
Necklines aren’t the only the only things going sheer for spring. I especially like the sheer sleeves—it’s an ageless way to do the trend.

Bold Black & White
I fell in love with the Gianfrance Ferre dress Anne Hathaway wore to the Critics’ Choice Awards so I’m thrilled there are similar variations in the works aside from the Alice + Olivia one Amber Tamblyn and Khloe Kardashian sported over the summer. At last week’s Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party, Desperate Housewives’ Andrea Bowen also hopped on the trend with a zig-zag strapless. And I cannot wait to see which celebrity will wear Marchesa’s cutout rose creation on the red carpet!

Soft Blue
Cobalt and black is the color combo du jour on the red carpet but on the spring runways things were lightening up. I, for one, am thrilled. I already have the perfect dress that I still have yet to wear.

Crop Tops
Even if you go to Pilates six times a week, I don’t feel like seeing your abs when I’m walking down the street. I didn’t mind the small slip of stomach at 3.1 Phillip Lim but there’s no reason to show off your belly-button unless you’re at the beach or the gym.
