A couple of weeks ago I went to a charity event hosted by Elizabeth Wahler down in Corona del Mar. But the fundraising didn’t end during the “Night of Lux.” It just went online in a charity auction with 100% of proceeds benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
My personal faves are the Valentino Handbag in Yellow and Judith Leiber Lavender Satin Clutch with Swarovski Crystals. There is also a Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile Clutch in Brown, Naturopathica 14 piece Beauty Skin Basket Collection and eight more items on their ebay page.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Heart Truth
I was supposed to arrive in New York last night but because of the blizzard my flight was canceled. Luckily I was able to catch the red eye and made it in town in time to see Ports 1961 on day one of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fall 2010. After the show, I headed over to the NY Public Library to see celebrities getting ready backstage for The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection. It’s a charity show where stars walk the runway in red dresses to raise awareness about heart disease. So of course, I had to wear red, too.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Helping Haiti
Random spot to take a photo, I know. But I had to deposit money into my checking account today so I could donate to the Art Creation Foundation for Children. An old friend of my mother’s started this charity back in 2000 to help children in Jacmel, Haiti with education and personal growth. Their building is one of the few structures still standing after the devastating earthquake so they’ve become a central aid point in Jacmel. You can donate online via their website, www.artforhaitianchildren.org or through their Facebook page. Or, send a check to Art Creation Foundation For Children, c/o Judy Hoffman, Profile Marketing Research, 4020 South 57 Ave #101, Lake Worth, Florida 33463. You’ll be touched by the updates of what the charity is doing to help during this time of crisis.

Yesterday was all about getting good deals and saving money. Today, aka World AIDS Day, is all about giving back. (PRDUCT) RED has some pretty cool items this year. I adore Stella McCartney’s graphic necklace tee for Gap ($28). But MAC has created the perfect stocking stuffer that helps fight HIV and AIDS. The Miracles Happen Viva Glam lip kit ($22.50) features the three most popular shades of Viva Glam V and VI lipsticks and Viva Glam V lip gloss and comes in an incredibly sleek compact.
Of course, they still have their idividual lip products, too. And you can never have too many red lipsticks in your makeup box!
The pink ribbon is to Breast Cancer Month as the Demistache is to Movember.
Haven’t heard of Movember? Yeah, me either until I got a press release about these adorable moustache-inspired necklace designed by Rachael White that have a fan base including the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Isla Fisher. They’re the official sponsors of Movember, which is a global initiative that raises awareness and funds for prostate and testicular cancer.
Through January 1, Demistasse Jewelry will donate $8 from every Demistache sale to the cause. And they’re pretty reasonable in price, ranging from the $38 basic Urban Demistache to the crystal-studded $68 ones. Or, if you feel like splurging, you could always go for the diamond encrusted Mini Nietzsche version!
The best part about this facial hair aside from being charitable? It’s never itchy and there’s not need to shave.
