ttF Fashion Diary: Pre-Oscar Puppy Brunch
Considering it’s going to be a long evening dishing about Oscars fashion and beauty I wanted to have a relaxing morning. So my mom and I took Bunny and Bear (my mom’s Golden) to meet my best friend Shauna and her pup, Simba, at Sunset Plaza for brunch. It was such a beautiful day I wanted to stay outside forever. But alas, I had to get my green tea latte from Starbucks and head to the office to get ready to critique the red carpet.

After a week of rain, it was finally sunny today. And the gorgeous weather put me in a happy, girlie mood. It’s hard to find something that can make you feel like a Disney princess but it still appropriate to wear in your 20s. But every time I slip on my pink glitter ballet flats I want to twirl in circles. Instead of twirling, Bunny and I walked around Neiman Marcus and met a friend to have lunch and the best green tea lattes at Urth cafe.

My New York bestie has been in town this week so after stuffing our faces at Cafe Med for brunch and watching some football at the Belmont, we went back to her hotel room for puppy playtime. Her dog is a Pomeranian and Bunny is a Pomeranian mix so it was a blast watching the furballs hop all over each other, definitely a nice break from all this awards season madness.

I hope everyone is having a nice Mother’s Day. Mine has been wonderful so far. Bunny got me the most adorable present: a custom yoga mat. Now whenever I do Downward Dog I get smile at my dog.
Bunny designed the eco-friendly mat online at Yogamatic. They have a variety of pre-made mats to choose from (pictured above) or you can customize one with your own image. It comes with a free yoga bag and a percentage of each sale goes to Global Green.
A personalized yoga mat is a great present for anyone who does yoga or pilates. And if you want to throw in a little something extra, pair the mat with workout gear from Rese. Ever since I tested out various styles over four months ago it’s all I wear to exercise. The clothing is so comfortable and hides any imperfections from cellulite to muffin top. And it’s stylish enough to wear on errands, too.
Did you receive or give any cool presents for Mother’s Day?

One of my favorite birthday presents this year was from my dog, Bunny. With the help of my mother, Bunny sent me a personalized box of M&Ms. She picked out orange, purple and silver, the accent colors of my apartment. Some read “Happy Birthday,” others read “Love, Bunny” and it’s hard to tell in the photograph but there were also candies with a picture of Bunny’s little head!
MY M&Ms is having a promotion right now on the signature gift box I received, which includes three bags of personalized M&Ms ($34.99, plus shipping). Unless the person you’re gifting is one of those crazy people who doesn’t like chocolate, they’ll definitely appreciate this well thought through present.
