ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Olive Peach
This weekend, my mom’s visiting. So we’re having major girl time. Today was haircuts at Juan Juan (I’ve been seeing owner Sean J. since I was 16) then a little shopping at Century City. It’s finally warm in Los Angeles, so I wore this sheer top American Apparel sent me. I never would have picked it out myself, but it’s so incredibly comfortable and the lightweight material looks even better when it gets crinkled. How rare is that?! I originally paired it with denim cutoffs but my mother hates the ripped short looks. So I swapped the jeans for olive and I actually prefer the color combo. It’s softer and more sophisticated. Thanks mom.
American Apparel top, Express short, Persol sunglasses from May’s staples, Forever 21 necklace, Steve Madden gladiators, Botkier bag
Fashion Staples Used: Lucite necklace

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Beauty Rebellion
Any ThinkThruFashion reader knows I’m an animal lover. Bunny has popped in my fashion shots more times than I can even count. So I was thrilled to hear about my friend Jen Matthews’ newest venture: The Beauty Rebellion Project. Jen reviews cruelty free products on her blog, My Beauty Bunny. And now, she’s spreading the word even more by hosting local events to educate people about ways they can look beautiful without harming any animals in the process.
The Beauty Rebellion Project team kicked things off with a Beauty N Booze Party up in Silverlake. The gorgeous Sinead aka Self Tanning Queen was in town so we grabbed some suhsi at one of my fave spots, Katsu Ya, and then headed up to the hills. Before going out, I slathered on some of Sinead’s Beautisol self tanner (which of course, is cruelty free). But my glowing skin couldn’t compete with her shoes. How hot are those green sandals?!
If you live in Southern California, jump on the cruelty free bandwagon and stop by the official Beauty Rebellion launch on August 21. Click here for details.

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Country Walk
Back in January, I went California Preppy for a day out with my best friend and our pups. Since then, I’ve become kind of obsessed with the denim shorts and tan boot combo (wearing it here, here and here). Today, I made it a little country with a floral Western shirt, thick braided belt and mosaic watch.
Forever 21 shirt, Levi’s shorts, Michael Kors belt, Jeffrey Campbell boots, Versace sunglasses, grandmother’s watch

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Two Point Oh! LA Picnic
I’m not one of those people who are always late. In fact, I have very little patience when I have to sit and wait for someone longer than 10 minutes. So imagine my horror when I got so lost going to the Two Point Oh! LA picnic that I arrived just 30 minutes before it ended!
Okay, let me backtrack a bit. Two Point Oh! LA is the brilliant idea of my friend Kelsi Smith of Dedicated Follower of Fashion. She formed the group to unite Southern California bloggers and hosts events to bring everyone together. Today’s picnic was the launch. There were a plethora of fab sponsors, an awesome gift bag and from the looks of the Flickr pool, very stylish people. Most guests were gone when I arrived but that just left Bunny and I time to catch up with Kelsi and Sandra of Debutante Clothing.
Since the gathering was at Griffith park, I went for flats. But if I wore my Melissa staples this month Kelsi and I would have been twinsies! She had on the whimsical Vivienne Westwood Lady Dragon Heart peep-toes that I almost got before I went with the Lady Dragon Ball.
Michael Kors dress, Karl Lagerfeld sunglasses, Bernardo flats, Isabella Fiore bag, lia sophia bracelets

ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: Garden Party
To welcome summer, my friend Jen threw a garden party. I knew other people would be wearing cute summer florals so I decided to go the green route with a bright dress and (garden) snake ring. It went very nicely with the delicious cucumber-lime-gin popsicles, too.
I think I was inspired by the 60s feel of my outfit because when Jen asked me to draw a chalk rug in the sitting area, it came out very Pucci-esque. I’m going to do a full post soon about how to throw a garden party because from the food to the activities my friend totally nailed it with this one.
Cynthia Steffe dress, Via Spiga slides, Fierce ring, plastic belt I bought on eBay

ttF Fashion Staple Series Diary: Boppin’ Around Beverly Hills
After getting my butt kicked at OK! magazine’s Body & Soul event by Workout’s Jackie Warner, I needed to wear flats for two days straight. So yesterday, I put on my comfiest pair of boots. Even though they’re only five years old, they look vintage considering how much I’ve worn them.
Normally, I’d stick to solids when accessorizing with a printed scarf but I decided to speak my mind with clothing. Aok’s “Love can be sketchy” graphic tee pretty much sums up my guy situation as of late. I took Bunny and Jamie shopping, and then added a chunky, black PH8 sweater, which let the outfit carry me through the evening’s festivities at my friend’s gorgeous house up in the hills.
Aok tee, Wet Seal shorts, vintage scarf, Ray-Ban aviators, Bulga bag, Jeffrey Campbell boots, bangles from Saks and Aldo
Fashion Staples Used: Leopard Scarf
