ttF Daily Fave: Barbie Collector Generations of Dreams Doll

In honor of Barbie’s 50th Birthday, Mattel created the Barbie Collector Generations of Dreams Doll ($50). The decadent ball gown features a patchwork of Barbie illustrations and logos throughout the years. I have a box of collector’s edition Barbies buried somewhere in my parent’s garage from when I was a child. I’d love to add this one to the mix. If only I was still awarded a trip to Toys “R” Us for being a good little girl.

Today is Bunny Bell’s birthday. For those of you who are not regular readers of ThinkThru Fashion, Bunny is my dog who occasionally appears in various blog posts. I adopted her one year ago from the Bill Foundation and I couldn’t be happier.

I highly recommend looking into adoption if you’re thinking about getting a dog. They have rescues for pure breeds—Bunny’s two uncles are Golden Retriever rescues—but I’m partial to mixed breeds. Bunny is a Crested Pompoo Powderpuff. Yes, I’m one of those crazy people who did a DNA test and discovered she’s a Pomeranian with traces of Poodle and Chinese Crested Powderpuff (it’s a furry variation of those funny hairless dogs).

Like a Parisian haute couture gown, Bunny is one-of-a-kind. And there’s nothing more chic than that.
