Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Excited For… Embellished Waists

Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Excited For Embellished Waists

Embellished Waists
From flowers and stars to rhinestones and turquoise, belts were anything but boring on the runway. My favorite part about this trend is it’s so easy to do. You can clip a brooch onto a belt and bam! It’s embellished.

Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving… Military

Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving Military

Military
At first I adored anything with gold buttons and tassels. But when everyone in Hollywood started wearing Balmain’s jackets, I got a little bored of the military trend. But since it’s not going anywhere anytime soon, I’m willing to give it another chance. Plus, army green really makes my eyes pop.

Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Still Loving Peplum

Peplum
Peplum jackets and dresses gave even the skinniest models the illusion of an hourglass figure. My favorite was the soft ruffles at Lanvin.

Socks With Sandals
On the runway, I think it’s sort-of cute, the whole school-girl inspired socks trend. And on Barbie, it looks just adorable. But in real life, very few can pull off this trend. And often when they try, it’s disastrous.

Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Excited For… Cropped Jackets

Spring 2010 Paris Fashion Week Trends: Excited For Cropped Jackets

Cropped Jackets
The boyfriend blazer is my go-to choice when I’m wearing my denim leggings or a mini. But it’s overpowering with a basic pair of slacks. A cropped jacket, on the other hand, is just right. I especially like them worn over a fluid long top as shown at Vanessa Bruno.
