Chunky Bangles
Last spring’s chunky bangle trend is continuing into 2010. Plastic has replaced wood as the most popular bracelet but the accessories were still shown stacked. Good thing I’ve expanded my collection in the past year!

Sure, an ice cold Bud is All-American. But for those of us that don’t drink beer, a fruity cocktail is more refreshing. This recipe isn’t too sweet and the lemon makes it perfect for a hot July 4th day.
Red White and Sapphire
1 1⁄2 oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
3⁄4 oz. simple syrup
3-4 fresh raspberries
3 oz. club soda
Garnish: Lemon twist and a fresh raspberry
Collins Glass
Muddle Raspberries with simple syrup and lemon juice. Add ice, Bombay Sapphire and stir well. Add more ice and top with club soda.

The great thing about leather, faux or real, is that usually the more worn it gets, the cooler it looks. If you love your H&M jacket, keep wearing it. But if you want something new, try either a similar moto jacket in a lighter color, a cropped denim jacket or a boyfriend blazer.
#1: The Motorcycle Jacket
Whenever I shop at Loehmann’s I usually leave with something I never expected to buy. Sometimes it works out, like the time I found two D2k metallic suede jackets for about $50. I wear the navy one in winter and the beige one all summer. Here, I’ve styled it with a Laundry embellished tank, Forever 21 pyramid stud jeans, Jimmy Choo slingbacks and a silver bracelet from Bulgaria. Get a similar look with Bebe’s metallic jacket or go for white, which is huge for fall. A bright color or neutral is also a great alternative to black.

In past years, I’ve strictly worn flared styles when it comes to white denim: my AG Angel bootcuts with heels for night and my Paper Denim & Cloth Jayne wide legs with flats for day. But this summer, I’ve decided to give skinny white jeans a try. I wasn’t sure if I was going to be comfortable in light colored skinnies (they’re not as forgiving as darker washes) so I bought an inexpensive pair. I’m now obsessed with my über comfortable Forever 21 Pyramid Stud Skinny Jean. I plan on wearing them non-stop over the next few months so I’ve created looks to cover eight different summer activities.
1. Night on the town: Toughen up white denim with a leather jacket and edgy footwear.
