ttF Fashion Staples Month #4: March Stripes
This month was literally over before I knew it. I learned that I can totally pull of red lips at the office. In fact, one of my friends likes me better with a bright lip. I also learned that my Jimmy Choo for H&M statement necklace was worth the ridiculously long wait. It’s generates more compliments than any other piece I’ve ever owned. Good job Tamara Mellon.

I cannot believe March is over. Where does time go?! I feel like I could have gone another couple of weeks with my March fashion staples but today was my last day. I took inspiration from Glee’s Lea Michele for my outfit. I adored when the actress wore that Isaac Mizrahi khaki bustier dress with a pale pink skirt. The neutral color palette is one of my favorite spring trends.

Between being tired from last night’s concert and the abnormally gray day, comfort was my main priority this morning. But I didn’t want to look like I just rolled out of bed so I added crystal bangles, red ballet flats and vibrant lipstick to my denim leggings and oversized sweater combo. ttF Fashion Staples Series Diary: V.I.Peas
Tonight, my friend Enjoli invited me to the Black Eyed Peas The E.N.D. concert. Since I wasn’t going to have time to go home after work, I packed a statement necklace, leather jacket and black sandals in my car so I could easily transition my day look into night. I’m not a huge concert person but it was an absolute blast. Of course, Fergie’s costumes were insane from robotic space suits made of plastic that looked like metal to spiked over-the-knee boots and leather bustiers. But it was will.i.am that absolutely killed it. After the concert, we went to the Bacardi after-party at Club Nokia. I caught up with my pulicist and journalist pals, Kinya, Kirsten, Matt, Mary, Enjoli and Art. ttF Fashion Diary: Stop and Smell The Flowers
I rarely get out during the day but the weather has been so beautiful that I had to take a moment and soak in the California sunshine. My yellow pumps were the perfect representation of how a single moment of enjoying nature makes you feel: happy.
As for my dress, it might look familiar since I showed how to wear it 6 Different Ways last year. Today, I took inspiration from spring’s yoke dresses and layered a nude tank under the strapless to make it more office appropriate. Since it’s gotten a little big on me, I used a navy belt from a different dress to cinch my waist, which enhanced the peplum style of the dress.

Last year, it was the 80s. This year, I celebrated my birthday with a Swanky 60s Soiree. And of course, costume changes were a must.
1. This was my only non-vintage dress but the sheer sleeves gave it a retro feel. My March fashion staple necklace added an extra glam factor. My only issue with the look is my hair. I wish I would have kept it up for the photo.

2. I saw this dress at Jet Rag and was immediately drawn to all the pastels. It was originally below the knee. My tailor hemmed it way too short so I had to wear something underneath. But I actually prefer the look with the baby blue tights.

3. This was my fave dress. I found it at American Vintage and slightly altered it by cutting off the sheer ruffles that peeked out under the pearls and crystal at my wrist. My tailor made this dress too short too so I had to take out the hem. Fingers crossed that it can be fixed because I’d totally wear this dress again to a non 60s party.

4. This dress was from Squaresville and required no changes. It fit perfectly and just needs some opera gloves and jewels for extra glamour.
